Welcome to Booker T. Washington Public Charter School For The Technical Arts

Mission

The mission of Booker T. Washington Public Charter School for Technical Arts is to educate students in grades 9 through 12, adults, and others for the construction and building trades and prepare them for life-long learning:

Educate students to meet college matriculation requirements;
Train students for construction apprenticeship programs;
Develop life skills for long-term success;
Create opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship.

News and Announcements

	Senior Final Exams Begin May 28th Seniors final exams will begin on Tuesday, May 28th and Wednesday, May 29th.
	DC CAS Testing Week – Tuesday, April 23 - Friday, April 26 Students will be engaged in the city-wide testing this week. Please check the calendar of dates for details. Testing students will be dismissed early afternoon each day, this week only, following the testing cycle and lunch. Thank you for your cooperation and support of this important event.
	Parent Teacher Conference Parents can meet with teachers from 9AM to 3:30PM to discuss any concerns and progress of their child.
	This Weeks Schedule Students will be dismissed at 2:40 pm this week because of repairs to the AC units.
	BTWPCS Students travel to Costa Rica for Service Learning BTWPCS will participate in its first Alternative Spring Break Program from March 31 - April 8 in Costa Rica. Nine students and staff will be engaged in this foreign exchange program designed to allow students an more informed perspective of their own culture while learning about life in Central America. They will participate in an environmental conservation project and apply their knowledge of the trades through a scheduled school based improvement project.
